Handy Tips Before You Start

Tip One - Flat & elevates workspace

Find a flat, elevated space to work on.

Tip Two - Liquid lubricant

We recommend having canola oil or dishwashing liquid on hand to lubricate the edges of the fabric and frame components to make it easier to connect them.

Tip Three - Flathead Screwdriver

Tip Four - Avoid using electric drill

Only use the Allen (Hex) Keys provided or a handheld screwdriver to tighten the screws. Avoid using an electric drill as it may damage/ strip-out the screwheads.

Tip Five - Firm fabric tension

The Bed Mats are designed to be firm in the frames to ensure great orthopaedic support for your dog, and greater durability. All fabrics will stretch over time.

Insert the rods into the mat sleeves

Step 2

Unfold the bed mat.

Insert one metal rod into each of the four sleeves located on each edge of the mat.

Slide the frame tubes along the mat edges

Step 3

Take one of the four large frame tubes and insert an edge of the mat into the tube.

For RIPLOCK PVC mats we recommend using a small amount of oil (e.g. canola oil, dishwashing liquid) to lubricate the edges to make it easier to slide the fabric in.

Repeat the same process along the other three sides of the mat to form the frame.

Add the corners

Step 4

This step can be a little tricky, especially corners three and four as the fabric tension is meant to be tight.

Make sure the seam of the mat is facing down towards the floor.

Install two corner bases (i.e. those which have a round fitting for the legs), on each corner of one side of the mat. This way the one side of the mat frame is resting evenly while you are working.

Fit a corner top onto the corner bases installed.

Secure each corner with two large screws, using the Allen (Hex) key provided.

Repeat this process with the other two corners on the opposite side of the mat.

Add the Legs

Step 5

Turn the frame over so to expose the round slots in the corner bases.

Insert the four legs into the four corner slots.

Add the rubber feet to the legs to prevent the bed from scratching the floor.

Secure the leg to the corner framing with the small screws provided. This will add extra stability and stop any chance of the legs from falling out when moving the bed.

Inspect The Corners + Add Rubber Feet

Step 6

Flip the bed back over.

Check all the corners are tightened appropriately for stability.

Make sure everything looks neat (e.g. no screws are sticking out and there is no loose fabric).

Add your dogs scent

Step 7

Congratulations you've completed the build!

The final task is to rub something with your dogs scent on it to let them know this is their new bed. Part of their previous bedding, their soft toy, or blanket would work. It's just to ensure that it doesn't smell foreign to them, but rather more familiar.
